GCS supports Mercia during its investment in Forensic Analytics

GCS (formerly GRAPH Strategy) is pleased to have provided Commercial Due Diligence to Mercia Asset Management on its £4.5m investment in Forensic Analytics, a UK-based digital forensics software provider whose technology supports law enforcement agencies nationwide.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Hertfordshire, Forensic Analytics develops advanced software tools that enable police forces to analyse and visualise complex communications data efficiently and accurately. Its flagship platform, Cell Site Analysis Suite (CSAS), helps investigators process and interpret large datasets at speed — generating evidential reports that have supported numerous high-profile prosecutions and helped to combat county lines crime networks.

The investment, funded from Mercia’s own balance sheet and its Northern VCT Funds, will support Forensic Analytics in accelerating its R&D programme, enhancing its cloud-based platform, and expanding internationally. The company’s innovations have been recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise and cited by the Metropolitan Police for their transformative impact on investigative work.

GCS’s work focused on assessing Forensic Analytics’ market position, customer relationships, technology differentiation, and international growth potential within the rapidly evolving digital forensics and policing technology landscape.

The GCS team on the transaction was led by James Tetherton and Phil Craig.
