Leonard Curtis acquires Virtualnonexecs with support from GCS

GCS (formerly, GRAPH Strategy) is pleased to have provided Commercial Due Diligence to Leonard Curtis on its acquisition of a majority stake in Virtualnonexecs, the global non-executive and board advisory talent network.

Founded in 2019 by Ian Wright, Virtualnonexecs has grown rapidly to become a leading peer-to-peer community and SaaS-enabled platform connecting businesses, private equity, venture capital and family office funds with exceptional non-executive and chair professionals. The platform now reaches over 22,000 members and 40,000 company boards worldwide, offering solutions including the Operator Network (OpNet) for streamlined recruitment and DealDirect, an off-market deals platform.

The acquisition represents an important milestone for Leonard Curtis, adding a fourth “Business Services” pillar to its Restructuring & Insolvency, Funding and Legal practices. For Leonard Curtis clients and its fast-growing Lifecycle network of accountants, the partnership provides direct access to a trusted talent ecosystem and new opportunities to strengthen board capability.

GCS’s work on the transaction focused on assessing Virtualnonexecs’ market positioning, client base, and growth potential, as well as the complementarity with Leonard Curtis’s existing services and strategic ambitions.

The GCS team on the transaction was led by James Tetherton and James Woolsey, working alongside Dan Booth (CEO, Leonard Curtis), Ian Wright (Founder, Virtualnonexecs), and the wider teams at Leonard Curtis and Virtualnonexecs.
