NorthEdge-backed PebblePad acquires student engagement platform myday with support from GCS

GCS is pleased to have provided Commercial Due Diligence to NorthEdge in support of PebblePad's acquisition of myday, a leading student engagement portal serving higher and further education institutions across the UK and North America.
PebblePad is an award-winning ePortflio, workbook and assessment platform trusted by over 130 higher education institutions worldwide, supporting learning design, assessment and personalised learner experiences. myday provides a complementary student engagement portal, giving institutions a personalised digital front door that connects students to timetables, learning resources, campus services and communications in a single mobile-first experience.
The acquisition, PebblePad's first since NorthEdge's initial investment in October 2024, brings together two sector-leading platforms, with the combined business set to serve more than 200 institutions globally across the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Integration plans are already underway to create a unified experience that connects academic progress with campus life, supporting institutions in improving student retention, engagement and outcomes across higher and further education. The deal also accelerates PebblePad's presence in the further education market, where student engagement is a critical driver of success.
GCS's work focused on assessing myday's market positioning, customer base, competitive differentiation and the strategic rationale for the combination, providing NorthEdge with a clear commercial view of the acquisition and its fit within PebblePad's growth strategy.
The GCS team on the transaction was led by Phil Craig.
