OCS acquires FES with support from GCS

GCS (formerly, GRAPH Strategy) is pleased to have provided Commercial Due Diligence to OCS on its acquisition of FES FM and FES Support Services from Forth Holdings Limited.

Founded in Scotland in 1999 and headquartered in Stirling, FES FM and FES Support Services have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality hard services to both private and public sector customers. Together, the businesses employ over 2,000 people, operate a fleet of highly trained mobile engineers, and are recognised leaders in energy and decarbonisation projects.

The acquisition significantly expands OCS’s Hard Services division, doubling its scale to more than 4,000 engineers and annual revenues of over £600 million. The combined platform will be one of the UK’s largest hard services businesses, enhancing OCS’s capability to compete for the most complex national TFM contracts while maintaining continuity for existing customers.

This deal represents the fifth UK acquisition for OCS in the last 12 months, underlining its commitment to strategic growth and operational excellence. It also supports OCS’s pledge to expand its apprenticeship programmes in the UK and Ireland, with the combined business now offering over 500 live placements.

GCS’s work on the transaction focused on evaluating the market landscape, FES’s competitive positioning, and the strategic synergies created by combining the businesses.

The GCS team on the transaction was led by James Tetherton and Nick Batchelor.

This engagement builds on GCS’s extensive track record in facilities management and property services, supporting investors and strategic acquirers in evaluating growth opportunities and executing complex transactions.
