GCS supports Bestport during its investment in LED lighting consultancy ESL

GCS (formerly GRAPH Strategy) is pleased to have provided Commercial Due Diligence to Bestport Private Equity on its investment in ESL, a rapidly growing LED lighting consultancy and installation business serving the healthcare, education, local authority, and commercial sectors.

Founded by Paul Daly (CEO), ESL designs, supplies, and installs energy-efficient LED solutions that help organisations reduce energy consumption, lower costs, and meet carbon reduction targets. The business has achieved over 50% annual growth in each of the last two years, driven by increasing demand for sustainable infrastructure and regulatory momentum behind energy efficiency.

The investment will enable ESL to continue scaling its operations and expanding into new market segments. As part of the transaction, David Hall, former CEO of Polypipe and Non-Executive Chair of Aspen Pumps, joins the board as Chairman.

GCS’s work focused on assessing ESL’s market positioning, customer dynamics, competitive landscape, and growth potential within the rapidly expanding energy efficiency and low-carbon retrofit market.
